Weekend Breakfast with Simon Smith

Hello, I'm Simon and I present Weekend Breakfast here at HRST.

Weekend Breakfast eases you gently across both your Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Starting at 8am - well we all like a bit of a lie in at the weekend - I play a mix of great music from the 60's through to today.

Each week I'll review the week's news and we'll look to the week ahead in news and entertainment. We'll kick start the Mystery Voice Competition and introduce the Artist of the Week, we'll look at today in history and celebrity birthdays for the week ahead - all this and a local focus on what's on in and around South Tyneside.

I'll also be joined by Archie - our youngest present here at HRST - who at 6 will give you his slant on the world today.
